While using our website, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

We collect personal data when you correspond with Convier through our website or by sending us an email.
Personal data we collect automatically
As you use our website, Convier will collect technical data such as your browser type, the IP address, and your usage habits. We divide this in three categories:
A. Information collected by our Site
To make our site more useful to you, our servers (which are hosted by Github Pages) collect information from you, including your browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address, domain name, and time for your visit. They do this to optimise how our website is displayed on your desktop, tablet or mobile phone.
B. Log files
Log files contain information about the IP address, browser type, Internet Service Provider (“ISP”), referring/Exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp and clickstream data. We use this to analyse trends, administer the Site, track users’ movements our the Site, gather demographic information about our user base as a whole, and better tailor our Site to users’ needs.

D. Google Data
We allow authenticated users to open documents from Google Drive in our web application. The types of documents that can be opened includes:
- Google Sheet
- Microsoft Excel
In addition to documents, we collect basic information about users authenticated with Google:
- Unique user identifier
- Email address
- Full name
How we use your personal information
We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our web application
- Understand and analyze how you use our web application
- Develop new products, services, features, and functionality
- Improve, personalize, and expand our website
- Send you service messages about your user account
- Respond to any communication you have initiated through our website
- Communicate with you to provide you with updates and other information relating to the website
How we use your data from Google Drive
When a document from Google Drive is opened in Convier, it can be configured. When data from a condigured document is requested, Convier will verify that it holds the most recent version of the document, and download a new copy if not. This spreadsheet data is then stored in-memory within application, and provided to the web application encrypted using HTTPS. The spreadsheet data is presented as objects, links and properties, and can be accessed by authenticated and authorized users. The user must have access to the document stored in Google Drive to access data through Convier.
We use data from Google Drive to:
- Enable analysis of data
- Enable search in data
- Enable user-initiated export of configured data
We do not transfer Google Data to any other party.
Legal basis
We may process Personal Data under the following conditions:
- Consent: You have given Your consent for processing Personal Data for one or more specific purposes, for example receiving a newsletter.
- Performance of a contract: Provision of Personal Data is necessary for the performance of an agreement with You and/or for any pre-contractual obligations thereof. For example access to our beta platform or paid access to our commercial version.
- Legitimate interests: Processing Personal Data is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Company. These relate to our interest in developing and improving our products. Please see the list below for more details.

Data processed in our data platform is hosted in Norway. Please refer to the documentation of the platform for an overview of how data is processed within the platform.
